The Mawson Trail maps show huts, campsites, towns and much more useful stuff. The maps have a tonne of detail including bush tracks, minor roads and handy contour lines. You may get lost, but you won’t stay lost once you consult the app.
When you are on the Mawson Trail, your location is shown by the blue dot. Tap any of the icons on the map to pop up a window telling you the distance from you to that place. Tap MORE to see details about that location.

Detailed information and photographs of all the places along the trail. Learn about huts, campsites, towns, e-bike charging points, drinking water locations, accommodation, food and more. Miss nothing, see it all!
Interactive elevation graph.
The GPS on your phone will show your location (blue dot). Pinch and zoom the graph to show the elevation profile for the day’s ride. See distances between towns and huts.
Maps with specific topics.
The Mawson Trail App has lots of individual maps. The main map shows all the main trail highlights, while other maps each show specific topics such as drinking water locations, bike shops & supplies, accommodation and huts.

Just finished the Mawson trail using the app as our only guide apart from town maps we picked up along the way. I always felt safe knowing I would not get lost using this app. Also great information along the way. I really liked knowing the history of what land we were on before arriving there. Great elevation profiles and places of interest and accom options. Good to see the Heyson huts available for use along the way as well. When using aeroplane mode meant my phone battery lasted so much longer.”
